Accents or diacritical marks
Non-English-speaking countries use small marks over some letters. You have no idea how many problems we have with it. Sometimes the letters are poorly displayed. Some fonts can not display them at all. We need to use more different keyboard layouts. Away with diacritical marks! Here you can do it :-)
About the Unicode
Unicode is a smart way to encode and save all the characters of all the world languages. In pre-unicode times, one character was saved as one byte, which allowed to define up to 256 different characters. Unicode can save one character as two or more bytes, allowing you to save almost any number of different characters, including Greek, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese or any other alphabet including all diacritical marks.
